I registered so I would be able to ask a question. My friends are all getting tattoos when they're turning 18. I'm not a huge fan of tattoos because I think the only reason to get one is if you want to preserve a memory or if a certain text means a lot to you etc.
Anyway, I was asked the question "what would you get?" and I said that I don't think I'd ever get a tattoo but it got me thinking.
I'm white, european and very open minded when it comes to a lot of things. The Sikh religion has always meant a lot to me in a way. I am not a Sikh, I don't practice the religion by not cutting my hair etc. but if I would choose a religion that is the most close religion to me it would be Sikhism. I adore it in every way. It is a very sane and true religion.
So.. To get to the point, would I be pissing off a lot of sikhs by getting a Khanda tattoo? I'm actually really curious about this. I would never ever ever do this if I wasn't 100% sure that I'm not insulting Sikhism.
(Edit: As I said before I am not very fond of tattoos and I probably won't get one but I am still curious as to what Sikhs would say about this)
