Punjab police arrest three more Babbar Khalsa militants in Rajpura

PATIALA: Three militants of Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) were arrested by Punjab Police alongwith arms and ammunition.
Unconfirmed reports said that police arrested 5 militants but sources however confirmed the arrest of only three militants.
The senior superintendent of police RS Khatra will address a news conference at PWD guest house In Rajpura of Patiala district at 12.00 noon.
Initial reports said that police have arrested these militants after receiving the information from the militants which were arrested by Mohali police few days back.
Notably, Three Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) militants arrested by Mohali police early this week have revealed during interrogation that several Sikh groups based abroad have been constantly trying to revive militancy in the state. The trio — Purushotam Singh alias Bunty, Daljit Singh and Talvinder Singh— were arrested in Mohali during a joint operation by Punjab and Delhi Police.

Planning to step up militant activity in state
PATIALA: The Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) militants arrested by Punjab police at Rajpura on Friday revealed their plan to kill Baba Piara Singh Bhaniarwala.
The police has also arrested two dacoits alongwith arms and ammunition.
The senior superintendent of police RS Khatra claimed that these militants had planned to kill Baba Bhaniarwala and have in touch with Italy based BKI militant Jasvir Singh Jassi.
Those who were arrested have been identified as Waryam Singh alias Jasbir Singh alias Giani of Seoli near Lalru of Mohali district. Joga Singh of Patiala, Lakhwinder Singh alias Toni of Suro village, Kulwant Singh of Mann Kheri district Ropar and Bhupinder Singh of Bharojian near Kurali of Ropar district.
Four .315 bore pistol with 9 live cartridges recovered from their possession. Police has registered a case u/s 399/401/402 IPC 25/54/59 Arms Act & 15/16/17/19/20 Unlawful Activity Act 2004 in this regard.
Khatra claimed that Kulwant Singh , Waryam Singh and Bhupujnder Singh have admitted that they were in constant touch with Jassi of Italy who had given them the weapons to eliminate Baba Bhaniarwala to create unrest in Punjab. They have been paid heauvly by Jassi and were asked to step up militant activity in the state.

Waryam, Bhupinder and Kulwant have made unsusseful attempts twice to kill Baba Bhaairawala, claimed Khatra.
