This is my first post but iv commented on Shaheed Bhai Amarjit Singh Billas post but my question is that does anybody have any new info on him rather than info such as provided on here http://www.sikhiwiki.org/index.php/Talw ... h_Canadian

Parmar Ji was a great Shaheed who got misrepresented and there is barely any articles on him.

Thanks

Here is some initial information on Jathedar Talwinder Singh Babbar:

Jathedar Talwinder Singh Babbar was the founder of the armed movement in Punjab. Following the 1978 Vaisakhi massacre, Jathedar Talwinder Singh left Canada and took to Panjab with the aim in mind to punish those who caused the shaheedi of Bhai Fauja Singh and 12 other gursikhs.

Upon reaching Panjab, Jathedar Talwinder Singh looked for like minded individuals. Jathedar created a group who began punishing the nirinkari hierarchy, this group consisted of:

Amarjeet Singh Khemkaran (shaheed)
Gurnam Singh (shaheed)
Sewa Singh (alive in punjab)
Surjeet Singh (shaheed)
Wadhava Singh (current leader of babbar khalsa)
Surinder Singh Nagoke (shaheed)
Tarsem Singh Kalansanghian (alive in netherlands)

These where the initial Singh's who took up arms and operated anonymously as most of them were working in the Punjab Police.

On November 19, 1981 the Punjab Police cornered the village of Daheru where a meeting was taking place at the house of Amarjeet Singh Nihang. Those present at this meeting were Bhai Amarjeet Singh Khemkaran, Bhai Wadhava Singh Babbar, Jathedar Talwinder Singh Babbar, Bhai Tarsem Singh Kalasanghian, Sewa Singh and Bhai Gurnam Singh. What ensued was the first ever encounter between the Jujharoos and the Punjab Police.

All Singh's present in the meeting managed to escape, however this encounter reveled the identities of the Jujharoos and the following day photos of Jathedar Talwinder Singh, Amarjeet Singh Khemkaran & Sewa Singh were printed in newspapers with 10,000 rupees award for each person.

Here is a clip of the video from Darbar Sahib, Bhai Sukhdev Singh Babbar is speaking, and the Singh with the mic is Bhai Anokh Singh Babbar - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qygc_pNk-MQ

In the full video the Singh's talk about the Jathebandi, and that Jathedar Talwinder Singh is the overseas Jathedar of Babbar Khalsa, and Sukhdev Singh will deal with matters inside India.

This video was used in relation to Jathedar's court case I believe, and also later on to raise funds from sangat in foreign countries.
