the dashmesh regiment was formed sometime in 1989 by shaheed bhai sital singh mattewal who was originaly in the btfk militant organisation before starting his own group,he kept ties with the original panthic commitee under baba gs,manochahal,the second in command of dashmesh regiment was shaheed bhai balwinder singh shahpur who then became chief of this group after the shaheedi of bhai sital singh,balwinder singh shahpur was originally a lt general in kcf zaffarwal group but after having differances of opinion with wassan singh zaffarwal chief of this kcf faction he joined sital singhs outfit along with 40/50 fighters under his command,

heard alot about sital singh matewal, he is famous and because of there 50 hour encounter with the police and crp and they where hungury for 20 hours before the encounter and then they went in to a makabla with the police with no water because the feilds were dried due to a burnt transfarm and no food lasting 50 hours with out food and water.

ssa-greetings although the dashmesh regiment was around in the operation blue star era,in the late 80s the group returned in 1986 as part of a few small splinter groups like shaheed bhai avtar singh brahma -tat khalsa.khalistan armed police- shaheed bhai manjit singh khajala. khalistan guerilla force.there was a womens militant group called the mai bhago regiment led by bibi bhag kaur and the womens wing of the kcf headed by bibi gurwinder kaur they used to mainly carry messages and logistics for operations for the militant leaders like lt gen malkiat singh ajnala,all these small groups apart from the kcf womens wing,were under the leadership of original panthic commitee member bhai aroor singh who later in late 1986 left to form the klf organistation from these smaller groups his 2 main lt generals were shaheed avtar singh brahma. and shaheed pipal singh dholiwal.and later shaheed bhai gurjant singh budhsinghwala,some important leaders of the dashmesh regiment were shaheed deputy chief bhai baghel singh, lt gen zora singh all mostly from batala police district.the group was close to wassan singh zaffarwal/jaffarwal panthic commitee and baba gs manochahal panthic commitees, the rival panthic commitee of dr sohan singh was born in late september 1987

shaheed bhai jugraj singh toofan alias toofan singh toofan klf lt gen from sri hargobindpur police dist batala was married to ranjit kaur alias ajanta a basketball athlete they had a daughter after bhai toofan shaheedi in 1990 she started living with rival militant group leader balwinder singh shahpur who took over the dashmesh regiment after bhai seetal singhs shaheedi the klf group didnt like this and took it as a lack of respect to there dead leaders memory,after balwinder singh shahpur was captured from a house and gunned down by the amritsar police near to the golden temple,some say ranjit kaur alias ajanta was killed by the klf singhs but the records show that the jandiala police dist majitha killed her as a partially identified body on the 22nd may 1992

yeh sunny balwinder singh shahpur ,s name was really on top that time, in one action he was with hardev singh kalia when a group of fake singhs( police men) were handle by both of singhs in one of the village in amritsar and they both finished all group i think, do u know whts the number of total jajaroo singhs were active in those days?

the larger groups under baba gs manochahal btfk and wassan singh jaffarwal kcf original panthic commitee 1986 had in there heydays 500 hitmen each.the smaller groups were khalistan liberation army,, hardev singh alias kalia btfk was also formally in the kcf then joined btfk his group only operated in the majitha police dist but sometimes ventured into police dist batala, the khalistan armed force chiefs were bhai chanchal singh udhoke,bhai gurmej singh dharamkot he was killed on 7th of feb 1991its deputy chief was bhai amarjot singh khalsa,they were active in batala gurdaspur dists and few in majitha police dist.
