shaheed bhai karaj singh thande from district amritsar was one of the first lt generals in the btfk group formed in 1987 along with shaheed bhai surjit singh penta chajjalwadi and shaheed bhai swaranjit singh under the command of baba gs manochahal.he served in the army and deserted to become a khadkoo/militant shortly after operation blue star.shaheed karaj singh thandes mother was killed by the security forces in her home on the 24th feb 1987.lt gen karaj s thande was a huge man built like a ox standing well over six foot his knickname was pehalwan today shaheed bhai karaj singhs memory lives on through his sons kuljinder singh and daler singh in his 3rd year doing ba at khalsa collge amritsar.under the guidance of the guru asra trust run by bhai kanwar s dhami and his wife in mohali home to many shaheed khadkoo singh children/wifes.

does any of u read punjabi novel name '' kaudi fasal'' by maleo krishana dher. that book is based on operation black thunder
and its shown as true story but some of its parts are tottaly unbeliveval. can u plz tell me the character of surjit in that book if u read it, like i wana know that who was surjit in khalistani movement ?

if the book refers to shaheed bhai surjit singh penta he was a lt general of the btfk who was from village chajjalwadi police district majitha.both his brothers were also khadkoo singhs.there family suffered a lot during the anti sikh riots where bhai surjit singh penta was a student at the time of indira gandhis death.he was a sportsmen very athletic but his family had to flee to the punjab after the mass killings of inocent sikhs in new dehli.bhai surjit singh after becoming a militant took revenge by carrying out some big operations in dehli with the btfk along with lt gen shaheed swaranjit singh and others, like the greater kailash killings and when a young singh rammed a truck into a crpf post outside the bangla sahib gurdwara in dehli and the new dehli railway station transister bomb blasts.bhai surjit singh penta was a relative of bhai harjinder singh jinda and bhai chanchal singh udhoke

i read pentas story frm a shamsheera dast mag..... hmm very intersesting...... was in the delhi riots...later he punished the people incharge,,,,, his younger brother was rajwinder singh raja...... who was a kaf khadku..... under the command of chancal singh and jagtar singh janakaya..... sunny bro u know any thing about Karaj Singh thandes actions...... what did they do...and why they became the top khadkus...

shaheed bhai karaj singh thande became a khadkoo singh in the year 1985 deserting from the mahar regiment were he was a champion body builder as well as a sepoy.he quickly rose up the militant ranks to lt gen of the btfk formed in 1987.karaj singhs father was makhan singh 75 years old at the time who owned 5 acres of farmland had 3 sons and 2 daughters.when bhai karaj singh thande left home to become a militant his father became very depressed.in 1987 when karaj singhs mother was killed by some say police cats others said another militant group was responsible including someone called khazan singh from the same village thande,bhai karaj singh and his gang one day gunned down khazan singhs son, his son in law, and his father in revenge.in those days when a btfk letterpad was sent as a warning to wrongdoers the signature underneath allways had the name karaj singh thande alias pehlwan on it.
